Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview
This policy explains how cancellations, refunds, and the EU right of withdrawal apply to paid plans (Grimoire PRO) and AI credit packs. It supplements our Terms of Service — where this policy and the Terms differ on a billing matter, this policy controls.
All prices and payments are handled by Stripe. Taxes are shown at checkout.
2. PRO subscription
Billing and renewal
A PRO subscription is billed in advance — monthly or annually, depending on the plan you choose. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from Billing → Manage subscription (the Stripe customer portal). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: you keep PRO access until then, and you are not charged again.
Refunds on subscriptions
We do not provide partial refunds for the unused portion of a billing period once it has started, except (a) for your statutory right of withdrawal, under which you are refunded on a pro-rata basis for any part of the period not yet supplied (see §4); (b) where otherwise required by law; or (c) at our discretion in cases of genuine error (e.g. an accidental duplicate charge). If you believe you were charged in error, email info@dungeongrimoire.com within 14 days.
3. AI credit packs
AI credit packs are prepaid, consumable digital goods.
- Unused credits can be refunded on request within 14 days of purchase, as long as your purchased-credit balance still covers the full amount of that pack — i.e. you have not yet spent those credits. Email info@dungeongrimoire.com with the subject line “Credit Refund”.
- Once you have drawn your purchased-credit balance below the amount of a pack, that pack is treated as consumed and is non-refundable, because the digital service has been performed (see §4).
- When we refund a pack, the corresponding credits are removed from your balance.
- Credits do not expire.
4. EU right of withdrawal (consumers)
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal on distance purchases.
For digital content and services, this right ends once we begin supplying the service with your prior express consent. At checkout you are asked to:
- expressly request that we begin providing the digital service (PRO access / AI credits) immediately, and
- acknowledge that you will therefore lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once the service has been fully supplied (PRO) or the credits have been used.
Until you have used any credits — or for the part of a PRO period not yet supplied — you may still withdraw by emailing info@dungeongrimoire.com. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer, including remedies for a service that is faulty or not as described.
5. How to request a refund
Email info@dungeongrimoire.com with:
- the email address on your account,
- what you are requesting a refund for (PRO subscription or which credit pack), and
- the approximate date of the charge.
We aim to respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Stripe; the time for the funds to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.
6. Chargebacks
If you have a billing concern, please contact us first — we can usually resolve it faster than a card dispute. Opening a chargeback without contacting us may result in temporary suspension of the account while the dispute is investigated.
